NATIONAL DENTAL HYGIENE CERTIFICATION BOARD

PHASE 1

STRATEGY & PROTOTYPING

NDHCB had the potential to be a complex and messy site.  The content featured many processes, steps and testing requirments.  Strict instructional and disclaimer terms and conditions had to be included given the medical and certification nature of the subject matter.  A corporate color of bright purple matched to an existing logo was also   mandated by the client.

Our approach included substantial up-front planning work to re-organize the content into a logical progression of information making it easier for visitors to navigate.  We also broke things down into bite size chunks highlighted

with call outs and side bars tied to the content of the specific page allowing them to jump directly  to what they want.       Several design tricks were used to minimize the madated content and color   challenges. A clean and simple design style    was developed with fresh white backgrounds and pastel versions of the mandatory bright purple.  Charts were also used throughout the site to better communicate many of the processes and requirements and to reduce the text heavy content.

PHASE 2

BRANDING & STYLE CONCEPTS

Creation of a more modern visual identity was key for the Board given the majority of visitors were under the age of 28.  Digital Diner produced a number of design concepts as well as value propositions and headlines to provide options to consider and choose from including color paletes, type styles, and images.
